Our first time paying for the parking this way was a bit confusing, as we had to deal with some frustration due to confusion with parking. We bought the tickets the day of the event, and the car was parked by one of us while the other went to will call. Upon arriving at the garage, we realized we needed the parking ticket which I had at the will call. I believe the parking garage attendant should have access to a database to verify our previous payment. Despite the confusion, the attendant was kind enough to allow Tesla in without requiring additional payment.
